Required Skills:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with certification in your state
- Proven experience in general medicine or related fields such as internal medicine or family practice
- Knowledge of compensation and pension (C&P) exam procedures is advantageous
- Excellent interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and efficiently within specified timeframes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Veterans’ healthcare or familiarity with VA evaluation procedures
- Certification in additional specialties (e.g., orthopedics, internal medicine)
- Experience with telehealth or remote assessments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience performing assessment exams in a healthcare or military-related setting
Other Requirements:
- Own a private practice or clinic with the capacity to perform exams within a 50-mile radius of your location
- Willingness to work PRN on an ongoing basis, with flexible arrangements for half-day or full-day shifts
- No specific travel reimbursements are provided beyond your local practice expenses
- Ability to complete required administrative documentation and follow-up reports
- Valid state licensure and certifications necessary for independent practice
