Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine MO and Make a Difference in Veterans' Lives

Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving those who've served our country? We are seeking committed General Medicine providers to perform essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allows you to contribute meaningfully while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interview-based exams and select physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
  • Perform one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments
  • Complete exams efficiently within prescribed timeframes and submit detailed reports and addendums
  • Work independently in your own office location with a 50-mile radius requirement
  • Manage your schedule with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts

Required Skills:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
  • Strong assessment skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with compensation and pension evaluations
  • Background in physical assessments such as motion testing and strength testing
  • Familiarity with VA or veteran-related healthcare services

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Prior experience performing similar evaluations is advantageous

Other Requirements:
  • Must own and operate a private office within a 50-mile radius of designated locations
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed
  • Complete credentialing and onboarding promptly
  • Ability to perform quick, efficient exams without prescribing or providing treatment
  • No reimbursement for certifications or portal training before engagement
  • This is an ongoing PRN position with flexibility in scheduling

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly Rate: $600 (half-day shift) / $1,200 (full-day shift)
  • One-time Bonus: $650 upon completing training and initial exams
  • Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit
