Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving those who have served? We are seeking experienced General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension examinations and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your medical expertise in a meaningful role, offering flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.
In this role, you will perform interview-based assessments and physical evaluations in your own office setup within a 50-mile radius of specified locations across Missouri, including Cape Girardeau, St. Joseph, Mountain Grove, Butler, Farmington, Licking, Sedalia, Poplar Bluff, Rolla, St. Louis, and Kennet. The position is on a PRN basis, with the flexibility to choose half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts, making it ideal for providers seeking a part-time, ongoing engagement.
You will conduct non-treatment, one-time examinations, focusing on providing accurate assessments without prescribing or treatment responsibilities. The role involves quick credentialing, onboarding, and minimal follow-up administrative work related to report submissions and addendums.

Required Skills:
- Active medical license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Experience conducting Compensation & Pension exams or similar assessments preferred
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills (range of motion, muscle strength testing)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with veterans' health services or government contracts
- Familiarity with documentation and reporting requirements for VA assessments
- Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP)
- At least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in general or internal medicine
- Prior experience conducting compensation and pension exams is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Candidates must have their own office location within the specified radius
- Local candidates only; travel is included in the rate structure
- Willingness to complete required training and perform initial exams to qualify for a one-time bonus
- No travel reimbursements for certifications or portal training before start date
