Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine MO

Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with expertise in general medicine seeking flexible, meaningful work that makes a difference? We are looking for skilled providers to perform Compensation and Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Missouri. This opportunity offers you the ability to contribute to veterans’ health while maintaining control over your schedule. Work on a PRN basis, with shifts that fit your availability—whether full days or half-days—delivering essential healthcare assessments with a reputable organization committed to your success.

Required Skills:
  • Current, active Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri
  • Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or orthopedics
  • Ability to perform interview-based assessments with some physical testing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a clinic or private office setting
  • Proficiency in documentation and report submission

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military/veteran healthcare
  • Familiarity with medical testing such as range of motion and muscle strength assessments
  • Certification in specialized clinical areas related to general medicine

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a general medicine setting
  • Prior experience performing veteran assessments or working with government contractors is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Must own or have access to a private office within a 50-mile radius of designated locations
  • Ability to travel locally to scheduled clinics
  • Willingness to complete required training and perform initial exams
  • Flexibility to work on a PRN basis, including some weekends and select weekdays
  • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities; focus on interviews and physical assessments

Compensation:
  • Half-day (up to 4 hours): $600 flat rate
  • Full-day (5 hours or more): $1200 flat rate
  • One-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and initial exams
  • Local candidates only; travel expenses included in rates
  • Weekly pay through direct deposit
