A skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner is sought for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in California. Starting on 06/09/2025, this opportunity offers a flexible schedule with a preferred 5-day work week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a minimum of 4 days per week required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a variety of family medicine cases, including wound care, mental health screenings, physical exams, chronic disease management, immunizations, and screenings for TB/HIV/Hepatitis. The role involves efficiently handling walk-ins and unexpected situations, diagnosing conditions, and approving referrals. Proficiency with Epic EMR is required. This position offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive family medicine services
• Perform wound care procedures
• Conduct PHQ-9 mental health screenings
• Carry out physical examinations
• Manage chronic diseases
• Administer immunizations
• Conduct screenings for TB, HIV, and Hepatitis
• Diagnose medical conditions and approve referrals as needed
• Handle walk-ins and unexpected situations efficiently
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and case management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Adapt to changing daily caseloads and priorities
• Maintain up-to-date medical knowledge and skills
