Family Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Location: Bronx, NY
Compensation: $150,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday

Our client, a mission-driven healthcare organization serving both community clinics and shelter-based populations, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team in the Bronx. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population in a supportive, team-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver primary medical care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.

  • Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and formulate diagnoses.

  • Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans using diagnostic data.

  • Perform routine and preventive physical exams, including gynecological assessments.

  • Prescribe medications and counsel patients on proper usage and side effects.

  • Complete all required medical documentation and forms in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and specialty consultations.

  • Administer immunizations and perform phlebotomy as needed.

  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical specialists.

  • Participate in regular peer review and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Provide patient education on preventive care, chronic condition management, and healthy lifestyle practices.

  • Serve as a patient advocate and engage in community outreach efforts.

  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and organizational protocols.

  • Supervise and train medical assistants across satellite clinic locations.

  • Participate in case conferences to optimize care planning and outcomes.

  • Contribute to protocol development and clinical workflow improvements.

  • Support research initiatives in collaboration with clinical leadership.

  • Recommend strategies to improve clinic efficiency and patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Family Medicine is required.

  • Active, unrestricted PA or NP license in New York State.

  • Must have independent access to the Medicaid system.
