Required Skills:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Alaska
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Proven experience in general medicine or related fields
  • Strong interview and physical assessment skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams
  • Knowledge of veterans' health assessment protocols
  • Familiarity with federal healthcare regulations
  • Certification in relevant specialties (e.g., family practice, internal medicine)

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience in military or veteran healthcare settings is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Must have own office location within Alaska with reliable internet access
  • Ability to work on a PRN basis, including optional half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts
  • Willingness to complete required credentialing and onboarding promptly
  • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities involved
  • Travel and certification reimbursements available when applicable
