This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $402.00, with additional compensation options including flat rates for half-day ($600) and full-day shifts ($1200), along with a $650 bonus upon completing all required training and performing initial exams. Required Skills:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
- Proven experience in general medicine (family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related fields)
- Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills
- Ability to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Veterans’ healthcare or similar examination processes
- Familiarity with documentation for government or military evaluations
- Certification in related specialties or additional healthcare credentials
- Experience with telehealth or remote assessments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine
- Prior experience with compensation and pension evaluations is advantageous but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
- Own office space within specified geographic regions (Kevin Devil Hills, Murphy, Roanoke Rapids, Ruffin, Henderson, New Bern, Elizabeth City)
- Ability to perform exams on a PRN basis, with flexibility for both half-day and full-day shifts
- Must possess reliable transportation and be willing to travel within designated radius areas
- Certification in relevant medical fields and licensure in North Carolina
- Commitment to compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local laws
