  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to conduct exams in various settings, including VA facilities and private offices

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Compensation & Pension exams or with veterans’ healthcare
  • Background in medical assessments related to disability evaluations
  • Familiarity with telehealth or remote assessment procedures
  • Additional certifications in orthopedics, physical therapy, or related fields

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (DNP, MSN)
  • At least 1-3 years of clinical experience in general or internal medicine
  • Prior experience in assessment or evaluation roles is advantageous

Other Requirements:
  • Candidate must reside within designated radii of the specified locations or have their own office in those areas
  • Willingness to complete required onboarding and training swiftly
  • Ability to work on a PRN basis, with flexible half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
  • Travel and reimbursements included when applicable
  • Valid certifications for practicing in California and registration with appropriate federal and state authorities

This is an excellent opportunity to provide impactful services to Veterans with flexible scheduling and competitive rates. With hourly flat rates of $800 for half-day shifts and $1,600 for full days, plus a one-time bonus of $650 upon successful completion of initial training and exams, this position offers both professional growth and financial reward. Benefits include weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage (W-2), paid sick leave, and additional reimbursements for licensure and travel when applicable.
