Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine VA

Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in Virginia
- Experience in General Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related fields
- Strong interviewing and assessment skills, including physical exam capabilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to perform compensation and pension exams efficiently
- Attention to detail and adherence to protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience with VA or government contractor assessments
- Knowledge of compensation & pension procedures
- Familiarity with range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience performing non-treatment exams like Compensation & Pension assessments
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- Own or have access to a private office space for conducting assessments
- Willingness to work on a PRN, ongoing basis
- Capable of performing assessments that include interview-based sessions and select physical tests
- Must comply with all applicable licensing, certification, and training requirements
- No travel reimbursements outside of the rate package; training costs are applicant’s responsibility
