Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for General Medicine seeking a flexible opportunity to serve our nation's Veterans? This engaging locum role offers you the chance to utilize your expertise in a meaningful setting across various locations, providing essential assessments that have a lasting impact on those who have served. Be part of a committed team supportingVeterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, in delivering top-tier healthcare evaluations efficiently and compassionately.

Required Skills:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas (AR)
  • Proven experience in General Medicine or related fields
  • Strong assessment and interview skills
  • Ability to perform physical exam components such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to protocols

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military/treatment assessments
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and reporting systems
  • Certification in relevant specialties such as Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • Active Nurse Practitioner certification in Arkansas (AR)
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in General Medicine or Veterans’ health services

Other Requirements:
  • Own office setup within the specified radius of designated locations (Arkadelphia, Pine Bluff, Forrest City, Helena)
  • Must have reliable internet and secure access for administrative tasks
  • Ability to perform exams on a PRN basis, including options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
  • Travel costs are included in the hourly pay rate; local candidates only
  • Valid provider attestation and credentials necessary for onboarding
