Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification
- Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or orthopedic surgery
- Ability to perform interview-based assessments and some physical examinations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and compliance with regulatory standards
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a designated office space
- Willingness to travel locally within specified radius as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with compensation and pension exams
- Familiarity with Veterans Affairs (VA) procedures and requirements
- Certification in specific assessments or medical evaluations
- Additional language skills or cultural competence beneficial in diverse settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine or related specialties
- Prior experience with government or VA-related evaluations is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Must own and have access to a dedicated office space in your local area
- Ability to perform both half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) exams
- Willingness to complete training, onboarding, and administrative documentation promptly
- No prescribing or treatment responsibilities required
- Must adhere to all applicable state, federal, and local laws regarding licensure and certification
- Compensation & Pension exams involve no treatment, primarily interview-based with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
