Spectrum Healthcare Resources is excited to offer a potential career opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at the Chinle VA Clinic in Chinle, Arizona. Job Requirements:

  • Education: Must possess a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
  • Licensure: Hold a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state where services are provided under this contract.
  • Certification: Must have DEA prescribing authority applicable in the state of practice.
  • Experience: Prior experience in primary care settings, preferably with underserved or rural populations.
  • Skills in Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Proficient in using electronic health record systems, with specific training on the VA’s EMR system.
  • Mobile Medical Operations: Capable of operating within mobile medical units and adapting to various clinical environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provision of Primary Care Services: Deliver basic care needs identified by the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS), including routine screenings and health education.
  • Phased Service Delivery: Engage in a phased approach to healthcare services, starting with basic care and expanding to more comprehensive wellness services over time.
  • Referral Coordination: Coordinate with other healthcare providers for services not directly provided, such as specialty screenings and advanced diagnostics.
  • Mobile Medical Clinic Operations: Participate in mobile clinic operations to provide healthcare services at various locations.
  • Data Management: Utilize the VA's electronic medical records system to document patient care and ensure secure data transfer between different health systems.
  • Patient Education and Health Promotion: Conduct health education sessions focused on prevention and wellness.
