This private practice was founded in 2013 and, today, encompasses more than 300 employees supporting 200 providers (physicians and APPs). They operate more than 100 locations of varying sizes and focuses throughout New York City and the surrounding area, providing full scope primary care, with specialty centers for gastroenterology, cardiology, physiatry, oncology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, and more.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new Nurse Practitioner (NP) will see a variable number of patients per day, depending upon types of appointments scheduled, and will be supported by a dedicated clinical assistant. The NP will collaborate with a supervising physician as needed.

The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- perform physical examinations and patient assessments
- obtain patient medical histories
- document pertinent health history data and results of exams
- manage a range of patient health and wellness issues
- coordinate care and perform routine health maintenance
- provide preventive health services
- provide care for women's health (perform pap smears and other related tasks)
- make recommendations for treatment plans based on assessment of needs
- order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed
- prescribe medications as needed
- review lab results and propose plans of action according to results
- counsel and educate patients and families
- assist in overall patient quality management

The practice uses the MDLand EHR.

The practice caters to the local Asian community - particularly those who are considered underserved - and is seeking a provider who speaks fluent Mandarin and/or Cantonese.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York NP license
- prescriptive authority
- must be fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin
- some experience preferred
- new graduates will be considered on an individual basis
