Description
UNCPN Lenoir Neonatology in partnership with UNC Health Lenoir, located in Kinston, NC, are currently seeking Experienced, Nursery NP/PAs to work fulltime in their Level 1 Nursery.
Highlights:
NP/PA - L&D or Nursery work experience required NRP Certification (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) requiredLevel 1 NurseryWork independently with supervising physician oversight
Schedule:
Day Shift7 days on - 7 days off 24-hour shift 7am-7pm: Rounding on-site at UNC Health Lenoir7pm to 7am: At home call, after hours - Must live within close driving distance to UNC Health Lenoir
Responsibilities:
Primary caregiver in Level 1 Nursery to newborn infants Assess & diagnose newborn infants Prepare for transfer, if needed, to local Level 2-3 NICUsPrescribe medication on your own authority with the agreement of supervising physicianEducate/support parents/guardians in the care of their newborn Order/perform medical tests and procedures
