Locum Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Location: Tennessee
Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Onsite
Position Summary: Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to a high-volume Emergency Department within a Level II Trauma Center environment, working collaboratively with Emergency Medicine physicians and APP colleagues.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
EMR: Epic
ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required
MMR and Varicella immunizations or positive immunity titers
Two-Step TB Test within the previous 12 months (Chest X-ray required if positive; QuantiFERON Gold accepted)
Case logs from the previous two years and Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME upon initial application and every two years thereafter
Must meet all facility credentialing and privileging requirements
Nurse Practitioner applicants:
Active unrestricted Tennessee RN license
Active Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority
Active DEA registration with Tennessee address
Active board certification through AANP or ANCC
Physician Assistant applicants:
Active unrestricted Tennessee Physician Assistant license
Active DEA registration with Tennessee address (Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5)
Active NCCPA certification
Preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine or related acute care experience.
