• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week; 5 x 8-hour shifts may also be considered
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: At least 4 weekend shifts per month
• Call: No call required
• Start Date: 01/25/2027
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,040 - $5,400
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 8 hours

Job Requirements

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of trauma experience required
• Level I trauma experience strongly preferred
• Experience in ICU, ED, neurosurgery, or orthopedics highly valued
• Strong working knowledge of trauma, critical care, and emergency patient care
• Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• DEA registration required
• ATLS preferred, with willingness to obtain within one year of start date
• Must be comfortable working in a highly communicative, fast-moving hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practice care to critically ill and injured patients across ED, floor, ICU, and clinic areas
• Support a busy trauma service with a daily patient load in a high-acuity setting
• Evaluate, manage, and follow patients ages 15 through 101
• Collaborate with resident physicians, trauma surgeons, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver coordinated trauma care
• Manage conditions including shock, acute coronary syndromes, stroke, neurosurgical concerns, and orthopedic trauma
• Assist with care delivery for injured patients presenting in a variety of clinical scenarios
• Use Epic to document patient assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing care
• Maintain flexibility to support day shifts, occasional night coverage, and weekend needs as required
