Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,310 – $3,920
• Location: On-site in Fredericksburg, VA (22408) — travel NP / locum tenens assignment
• Assignment Duration: 12 weeks (June 30, 2026 – September 22, 2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour shifts (Nocturnist / Day shifts; flexibility required)

Job Requirements (Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner)

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in emergency medicine or acute care (Emergency NP, ED NP)
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia or eligibility for Virginia licensure
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and day rotations
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and decision-making skills in the Emergency Department
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; experience collaborating with physicians and ED staff
• BLS required; ACLS and other emergency certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department (ED) as an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner
• Perform clinical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans for acute presentations
• Manage emergent conditions, provide rapid interventions, and coordinate care with physicians and specialty services
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the medical record
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, consultants, and ancillary services to ensure optimal patient outcomes
