Provide essential care in a hospital setting with 12-hour shifts, either days or nights, requiring no formal call duties. Your expertise will support the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a Level II Trauma Center.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage trauma alerts and perform surgical consultations
  • Support admissions, OR activities, and inpatient rounding for trauma and acute care
  • Facilitate patient discharges, ER admissions, and respond to house codes/rapid response

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey State License
  • BLS, ACLS, and ATLS or ATCN Certifications
  • Experience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery
  • Proficiency in Ventilation Management, Chest Tube, Central Line, Arterial Line, PICC Line insertion, and minor laceration suturing

Working Hours

  • 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Coverage may include weekends and nights as scheduled

Skills

  • Experience responding to ED for trauma alerts and performing surgical consultations
  • Proficiency in Cerner EMR preferred
  • Ability to work with a supervising physician in-house 24/7
