Exciting Opportunity for NP/PA in Emergency Medicine - Great Barrington, MA

Join a dedicated team at a Critical Access Hospital located in the beautiful town of Great Barrington, Massachusetts. This facility offers a welcoming environment for both patients and staff, featuring a small but efficient Emergency Department with 8 beds and an average daily volume of 45 patients. With a committed team of 10 physicians, high-quality patient care is the priority, making this an excellent place for a locum NP/PA to enhance their skills while contributing to vital healthcare services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with supervising physician present on-site during assignments.
• Provide care in the Emergency Department under the supervision of experienced staff.
• Perform EKG interpretations as necessary.
• Monitor and supervise paramedics via radio communication.
• Assist in patient delivery procedures directly to Labor & Delivery.
• Ensure coverage and support during high-volume situations.

Qualifications:

• Must be board certified by NCCPA (PA) or AANP (NP) - REQUIRED
• 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting - REQUIRED
• ACLS certification - REQUIRED
• Active Massachusetts medical license - REQUIRED
• Self-query NPDB (must be current within the month) - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current board certification as an NP or PA.
• ACLS certification.
• Active Massachusetts license required prior to start date.
• Meet the on-call physician response requirement within 30 minutes per bylaws.
