We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support a busy Level III Emergency Department in Lansing, Michigan. This locum opportunity is ideal for confident APPs who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working independently while having physician support readily available. The role focuses on fast-track emergency care with consistent day shifts and a collaborative care model.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage a wide range of low- to moderate-acuity emergency cases
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
• Initiate treatment plans, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as appropriate
• Collaborate with attending physicians and emergency medicine residents as needed
• Document patient encounters accurately using the Cerner EMR system
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Active Michigan license (required at time of submission)
• DEA registration (required)
• ACLS and ATLS certifications (required)
• Clean background and malpractice history
• Local candidates only
Working Hours
• Schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Assignment duration: 91 days
