Job description
We are seeking Board-Certified Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for Emergency Medicine coverage in a Level III Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced APPs who are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with full physician backup available 24/7.

Job Responsibilities
Level III Emergency Department
Annual ED Volume: ~40,150
Fast Track / VUE: 10-bed area within the ED
50-bed hospital
60% of hospital admissions originate from the ED
20% ED admission rate
APPs will work independently in Fast Track, with attending physicians available 24/7 for consultation, case review, and support as needed.
Team & Coverage Model
Single physician coverage overnight (2a–8a)
Peak coverage: 3 physicians on duty from 2p–6p
Emergency Medicine residents onsite (no APP supervision responsibilities)
No supervision required for resident cases
Qualifications
24/7 Radiology & Laboratory
AABB Blood Bank
Pathology & OR
All Surgical Specialties Available
Deliveries sent directly to Labor & Delivery
Transfers based on diagnosis (stroke, trauma, pediatrics per protocol)
Requirements (Strict – No Exceptions):
Board-Certified NP or PA
Active Michigan License (IMLC not accepted)
DEA – verbal confirmation at name clear
ACLS & ATLS
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
Clean background for expedited credentialing
NPDB Self-Query (dated within 30 days at presentation)
Current address required at time of presentation
Must provide availability for requested dates
