Job Title: Locum - NP/PA - Emergency Medicine Lansing, MI

Embark on an impactful locum tenens opportunity as an NP or PA in the dynamic emergency department of Lansing, MI. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting a busy Level 3 ED with over 40,000 annual visits. Join a dedicated team that values independence, professionalism, and clinical excellence, providing vital services in a 10-bed Fast Track unit within the ED. Your expertise will help ensure seamless patient throughput, manage admissions, and collaborate closely with attending physicians, residents, and specialists to deliver exceptional emergency care.

Required Skills:
  • Current NP or PA certification and LIC in Michigan
  • Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR or similar electronic health records
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of emergency protocols, orders, and procedures

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience working in busy emergency departments
  • Familiarity with pediatric care protocols and transfers
  • Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse patient populations
  • ACLS, PALS, or other relevant emergency certifications

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA)
  • Minimum of 2 years of emergency or urgent care experience
  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or specialization in urgent care

Other Requirements:
  • Must be willing to start on 01/01/2026 with flexible scheduling, including shifts from 11a-11p
  • Immunization documentation including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, flu vaccination, Covid vaccination, TB within 12 months, and Tdap within the last 10 years
  • Compliance with hospital policies for documentation, timesheets via DocTime, and travel reimbursement protocols
  • No travel or lodging arrangements through third-party services; all expenses aligned with hospital policies
