Your expertise will help ensure seamless patient throughput, manage admissions, and collaborate closely with attending physicians, residents, and specialists to deliver exceptional emergency care.
Required Skills:
- Current NP or PA certification and LIC in Michigan
- Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR or similar electronic health records
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of emergency protocols, orders, and procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working in busy emergency departments
- Familiarity with pediatric care protocols and transfers
- Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse patient populations
- ACLS, PALS, or other relevant emergency certifications
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA)
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency or urgent care experience
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or specialization in urgent care
Other Requirements:
- Must be willing to start on 01/01/2026 with flexible scheduling, including shifts from 11a-11p
- Immunization documentation including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, flu vaccination, Covid vaccination, TB within 12 months, and Tdap within the last 10 years
- Compliance with hospital policies for documentation, timesheets via DocTime, and travel reimbursement protocols
- No travel or lodging arrangements through third-party services; all expenses aligned with hospital policies
