Job Title: Locum NP/PA - Emergency Medicine

Join a thriving healthcare facility in Lansing, Michigan, serving a bustling metropolitan area. Our Level 3 Emergency Department treats approximately 40,150 annual ER visits, ensuring a dynamic work atmosphere. As part of our dedicated team, you will work independently in a specialized fast-track area, supported by attending physicians available around the clock. Be part of a float pool for Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and help us deliver exceptional care to our community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent care in the fast-track unit within the Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians on complex cases and seek guidance as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records using Cerner EMR.
  • Assist in efficient patient management during the busiest hours of operation.
  • Perform clinical assessments and provide appropriate treatment for patients in the emergency setting.
  • Participate in the continuous development of the float pool for EM/APPs.
  • Complete administrative duties related to patient care and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (REQUIRED).
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Department settings.
  • Local candidates only; no exceptions.
  • Clean background check for quick credentialing (no exceptions).
  • Availability to work during the specified shifts.
  • Copy of self-query from the NPDB, current within 30 days (REQUIRED).

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Michigan License (REQUIRED, no IMLC accepted).
  • ACLS Certification (AHA).
  • ATLS Certification.
  • DEA Verbal Confirmation at time of Name Clear (REQUIRED).
