We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine NP or PA with extensive ED experience for locum coverage due to a recruitment gap. This is a well-supported role with physician presence at all times.

• Shift Length: 10 hours

Position Details

• APP works autonomously: Yes

• Supervising physician on site: Yes

• Coverage type: Recruitment gap

• APP coverage:

  • 1 Full-Time NP

  • 2 PRN PAs (may assist with coverage)

• Average patient volume: 20/day

• Number of ED beds: 25

• Annual ED volume: 20,000

• Trauma designation: Provisional Level IV

• EHR: Cerner

• Admission orders written by: Hospitalist or ED physician

• Percent admitted from ED: 8%

• Ambulance radio oversight: Yes

• OB patients >20 weeks with abdominal complaints seen in ED

Credentialing

Expenses & Billing

• Reverse billing system (Doc Time) — clock-in/clock-out required

• Hep B, MMR, Varicella (series or titers)
