Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Room NP or PA to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department. The provider will evaluate, treat, and manage patients with acute medical and traumatic conditions, working closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illness or injury.

  • Perform procedures within the scope of practice and state regulations.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and EKGs.

  • Collaborate with emergency physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers for optimal patient care.

  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.

  • Document patient encounters accurately and in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and continuing education activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or completion of an accredited PA program.

  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

  • Valid state license and DEA registration.

  • Experience in emergency medicine preferred.

  • Strong clinical, procedural, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Hospital-based emergency department.

  • May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Exposure to high-acuity and critical care patients.
