Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a passion for critical care and neuro-trauma management? We are seeking a dedicated Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional patient care in a busy Level II Trauma Center. This high-impact role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team, manage complex cases, and make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing Neurosurgery and Trauma ICU patients, including brain, neck, and spine surgery cases. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of top-quality care for emergency surgery patients, utilizing your neuro-trauma and neuro-critical care background. You will engage in both low/moderate and high-risk procedures, from IV access and fracture reductions to G-tube placements and endotracheal intubations, supporting critically ill patients on a diverse caseload.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with unrestricted privileges at an active TJC-accredited facility
- Neuro-trauma or neuro-critical care experience
- Proficiency in low/moderate risk procedures (e.g., laceration repair, IV access, fracture/dislocation reductions)
- Ability to perform high-risk procedures such as endotracheal intubation, G-tube placement, cardioversion, and central line placement
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in high-volume ICU settings
- Certification in advanced trauma life support or critical care nursing
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
- Prior locum or travel healthcare experience
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Higher
- Minimum of 2 years of neuro-critical care or trauma ICU experience
- Previous work in Level I or Level II trauma centers
Other Requirements:
- Availability for day shift (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) with no call responsibilities
- Ability to start within 30-60 days upon credentialing completion
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts on specific dates throughout the year
- No travel flights; local accommodation preferred
