🩺 Description:
An excellent locum opportunity for a confident Emergency Medicine NP to provide independent coverage in a low-volume rural ER and Med/Surg environment. Supportive staff, flexible PRN dates, and paid travel/lodging make this a rewarding short-term role.
Job Responsibilities
• Act as sole clinical provider in ED & Med/Surg
• Deliver emergency and inpatient care
• Manage low-volume patient flow
• Collaborate with nursing staff, paramedic, and ancillary support
• Document using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
• Board Certified NP — Required
• Active IA License — Required
• Active DEA & CSR — Required
• Experience in Emergency or Acute Care preferred
Working Hours
• Schedule varies by assignment
• Mix of day and night shifts
• Shifts ranging from 12–48 hours
Skills
• Emergency response & clinical decision-making
• Patient-focused communication
• Ability to function independently
• Calm, efficient, and composed under pressure
