Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in a Level II Trauma Center. This position offers a flexible schedule with 10-hour shifts and no on-call responsibilities, ideal for advanced practice providers who thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse patient population.
• Perform evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment of acute and urgent conditions.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all encounters accurately and efficiently in EPIC EMR.
• Participate in maintaining the highest standards of emergency department operations and patient safety.

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Illinois (or ability to obtain).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Prior experience in Emergency Medicine within a trauma-designated facility preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
