Job description

Job description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 365-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts starting Dec 1, 2025. This telehealth role involves 24-hour shifts, consulting with paramedics, and supporting emergency care through virtual communications.

Job Details
  • Location: Massachusetts

  • LOA: 365 days
  • Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner
  • Schedule: 7am-7am; daily shifts from 9am-10am local time, 365 days a year including holidays

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide telehealth consultations to paramedics in the field to enhance patient care
  • Direct and advise paramedics during emergency situations
  • Chart and log all patient calls promptly and accurately
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure effective emergency response
  • Utilize Athenahealth EMR for documentation and communication

Additional Information
  • Masters of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice required
  • Active board certification in Family Practice, Acute Care, or Adult-Gerontology required
  • Minimum of five years independent Nurse Practitioner experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine
  • Must be licensed in Massachusetts, Oregon, or Texas
