Location: Interior Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Compensation: Daily Rate + Daily On-Call Rate

Assignment Dates: TBD – The client is proactively building their pool of credentialed providers at this location to ensure timely coverage for future assignments. If this interests you, please reach out!
Key Job Details:
- Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Saturday 12:00pm to 4:00pm
- Shared after hours and weekend call
- Compensation Breakdown:
- $900.00 daily rate (earned every day on assignment)
- $275.00 daily on-call rate (earned every day when on-call)
- $1350.00 daily holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
- 2 paid travel days, paid at the daily rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)
Responsibilities:
- Patient Volume, Clinic: Average 7 per day
- Patient Volume, Emergencies: Varies, but averages 2 per day
- On-Call Details:
- Solo call, but other providers will respond if needed during an emergency
- Call rotations are shared with 2-3 additional providers
- Monday – Thursday: Call screener available
- Staffing Mix: 2-3 additional providers working in clinic and sharing call; No Nursing or Medical Assistant staff
Position Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Active BLS & ACLS
- ATLS & PALS preferred, but not required
- Active DEA registration
- Provider required to draw and process labs, perform X-Rays, and room patients
- Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience
- Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
- Alaska bush experience highly preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
