Emergency & Family Medicine Hybrid Advanced Practice Provider

CHI St. Joseph's Health is actively recruiting an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well established hospital in Park Rapids, Minnesota. This position is a full time 0.8 FTE (32 hr / week) hybrid role. They will provide care in both the clinic and emergency room.

Essential Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide care to patients of all ages - children to geriatrics
  • Collaborate and coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing, health care personnel, and care team members for patients in the clinic, hospital and ER
  • Employing quality and process improvement practices to make the hospital a safer place and improve patient outcomes

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • will have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masters or Doctorate program
  • board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • will have the qualification to successfully obtain an unrestricted Minnesota practice license and DEA
  • have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing patient demographics and needs

CHI St Joseph's Health is a Joint Commission accredited 25-bed critical access hospital located in Park Rapids, MN with a 24-hour Emergency Department and Level IV Trauma Center with 13 beds. CHI St. Joseph’s Health is the sole provider of hospital services for the 23,475 residents of Hubbard County, as well as portions of Becker, Cass and Wadena counties (~ 3,800 square miles). We are located in a popular resort area where the summer population can be in excess of 40,000. We are a modern rural facility that offers state-of-the-art facilities with many of the same services you would expect to find in larger, urban centers.
