Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (minimum 1 year of clinical experience in dermatology) to join our dermatology teams across multiple locations. No new graduates, please.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dermatologic assessments and manage a variety of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and benign/malignant lesions.
- Perform minor procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and therapeutic interventions.
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care and surgical dermatology under physician guidance.
- Prescribe and manage topical and systemic therapies; educate patients on skincare and prevention.
- Retrieve and interpret diagnostic labs and chart treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted PA-C or NP licensure in the respective state(s) (NY, NJ, DE, FL, PA, CA).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dermatology experience required (some practices emphasize 1–2+ years).
- Proficient in performing office-based dermatology procedures and knowledgeable in both medical and cosmetic aspects of care.
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced, patient-centric environments.

Working Hours
Skills
Diagnose and manage common and complex skin conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers)
Perform minor dermatologic procedures: skin biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, suturing, electrodessication & curettage
Assist with surgical dermatology, including Mohs closures (if applicable)
Administer topical, intralesional, and systemic therapies
Review and interpret dermatopathology, laboratory results, and diagnostic imaging
Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care and wound management
Patient Care & Communication
Deliver patient education on skin care, disease prevention, and post-treatment care
Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
Counsel patients on cosmetic dermatology options (if applicable)
Provide culturally sensitive care and communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
Technical & Administrative Skills
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic medical records (EMR)
Use dermatoscopes, light-based devices, and other dermatology-specific equipment
Manage patient follow-up and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards
Professional Competencies
Strong attention to detail and diagnostic accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under physician supervision
Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced clinic
Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on dermatologic best practices
