We are seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join a collaborative Intensive Care Unit team delivering high-acuity, evidence-based care to critically ill adult patients. This is an excellent opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a supportive, multidisciplinary ICU environment.

Position Overview

You will work alongside intensivists, hospitalists, and specialty teams to manage complex adult ICU patients. This role offers strong clinical exposure, procedural opportunities, and meaningful team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive management of critically ill adult ICU patients
Conduct admissions and daily ICU rounds
Manage complex medical cases and treatment plans
Perform procedures as credentialed, including:
• Central line placement
• Arterial line placement
• Intubations
Collaborate closely with intensivists, nursing teams, and consulting specialists
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (ACNP/AGACNP preferred) or Physician Assistant program
Board certification required
Eligible for Alabama licensure
BLS and ACLS required
ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred
New graduate NPs with significant ICU RN background will be considered
