Setting: High-acuity ICU (potential Neuro ICU coverage)
Shifts:
Day: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Night: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule:
14 shifts per month | Tuesday–Monday rotation
Typically 7 day shifts → 7 days off → 7 night shifts
Start Date/Duration:
Target April 1 start (60–90 days privileging required) | Ongoing

Candidate Profile:
Degree: Nurse Practitioner
Required Specialty: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
Experience:
1–2 years ICU experience preferred
(Less experience considered with structured shadowing/training)
Certifications: BLS & ACLS
Licensure Required: Active Texas License + Texas DEA

Unit: ICU (possible Neuro ICU placement)
Patient Population: High-acuity medical, neuro & neurosurgical patients
Physician Support:
Day – On-site or available by phone
Night – Available by phone

Job Details:
Guaranteed Hours: 12 hours per shift
Overtime: Applies after 12 hours per day
Coverage Need:
Prefer 1 provider to cover all 14 shifts
Will consider 2 providers with 7 shifts each

Admissions & discharges
Running codes
ICU procedures (volume varies):
• Intubations
• Central lines
• Trialysis lines
• Arterial lines
Communication with internal floors and transfer coordination
