Job description
We are looking for a Board Certified Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a locums coverage in California.
Highlights -
Neurosurgery/Trauma ICU management of emergency surgery patients that are brain, neck, and spine surgeries. NP with neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care background/experience.
10 hour day shift, no call 7a-5p
Setting: Level II Trauma Center
Required Procedures :- Low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). High risk procedures: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement.
EMR: Cerner Care B
Average Number of ICU Patients per Provider per day: 15-20 patients on service per day
Qualifications
Current ANCC/AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA) certified
CA License
Other Certifications – ACLS, ATLS, and DEA
Substantial experience in neurosurgery and/or neurocritical care experience.
Clean Malpractice
MUST have at least 1 year of neurosurgery/neurocritical care or even neurology experience.
