Practice Setting

• Inpatient setting focused on Preventative Care
• Work with Pediatric patient population
• Volume up to 16 per shift
• Work directly with a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist

Schedule

• Ongoing need with 4-7 consecutive shifts per month
• Day (7am-8pm) or Night (5pm-8am) shifts available
• Locums Call is In-House for Assigned Patients
• Call Back %: 100% and Phone Consults may occur

Procedures and Cases

• Responsible for new admissions and rounding with a multidisciplinary team
• Manage frontline calls during the shift
• Types of Cases: Day to day coverage to establish plan of care
• Admissions: Average of 2-3 per shift
• Patients Seen: 12-14 during call

Requirements

• 24 Months of experience required
• Board Certified in a qualifying specialty
• Certifications: BLS and PALS required
• Must hold or be eligible for a Louisiana Nurse Practitioner license
• Accepting Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care trained NPs

Credentialing Requirements

• Credentialing Timeframe is 90-120 days
• We will wait for a license with an active IMLC LOQ only
• Credentialing Support provided throughout the process
