Description
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Critical Care NP to join a Level II Trauma environment providing high-acuity neuro-trauma and neuro-critical care. Work with complex patients involving brain, neck, and spine emergencies. Multiple schedule blocks available from January through June and ongoing.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage neuro-trauma & neuro-critical care ICU patients
• Oversee emergency neurosurgery cases (no OR assist required)
• Perform low/moderate-risk procedures (laceration repair, IV insertion, reductions)
• Perform high-risk procedures as needed (intubation, chest tubes, central lines, G-tube placement, cardioversion, paracentesis, arterial lines)
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, neuro teams, and ICU staff
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR
Qualifications
• ANCC/AANP Certified NP – Required
• Active State License – Required
• ACLS & DEA required, ATLS preferred but not mandatory with strong experience
• Must be active staff at a TJC-accredited facility (not just locums privileges)
• Clean malpractice history
• Strong experience in neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care
Working Hours
• 10-hour day shifts
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No call required
• Available blocks Jan–June + ongoing

• EMR proficiency (Cerner)
• Ability to thrive in high-acuity trauma environments
