ICU APP (ACNP or PA) – Locum Tenens
Location: Cumming, GA – Community Hospital ICU
Specialty: Critical Care / ICU – APP (NP/PA)
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: Ongoing
Schedule & Coverage
- Shift: 3x12 hr shifts weekly (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Call: None required
- Setting: Multi-specialty, high-acuity medical-surgical ICU
Clinical Details
- Patient Load: 10–15 ICU patients per APP, in collaboration with attending physicians
- Responsibilities:
- Patient assessments, treatment planning, and interventions
- Multi-disciplinary rounds
- Order entry & documentation in Cerner EMR (H&Ps, consults, progress notes, procedures)
- Interpret diagnostic testing & communicate results
- Procedures: Central lines (CVLs, vascaths, introducers), arterial lines
- Team Support: ICU nursing staff + attending intensivists
Requirements
- Profession: Acute Care NP (must be ACNP-certified) or PA
- Experience: 1–2 years of ICU APP experience required
- Procedural Skills: Central and arterial line placement
- Licensure: Active national & state license required
- Credentialing: Case logs required
