Job description
We are seeking a Locum Tenens Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the ICU team. This is an inpatient-only, evening-shift role in a 14-bed open ICU. The ideal candidate will be proficient in intubations, central line placements, and arterial lines, with the ability to manage up to 12 patients per shift.
Enjoy the flexibility of ~10 shifts per month in a state-of-the-art facility with full support, no teaching or call duties, and a focus on high-acuity patient care.
Job Responsibilities
Perform intubations, central line placements, and arterial lines
Admit patients and provide ICU-level care during evening hours
Participate in daily rounding and documentation via Epic EMR
Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Manage a patient census of up to 12 per shift
No call, no supervision, and no outpatient responsibilities
Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified in specialty – Minimum requirement
ACLS and BLS Certifications – Required
Proficiency in intubation, central line, and arterial line placement – Required
ICU experience strongly preferred
Must be available for evening shift schedule and able to begin as of September 1, 2025
Clean history candidates may qualify for expedited credentialing (60–90 days)
Working Hours
Frequency: ~10 shifts per month
Holidays Allowed: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
