Job description
Join a high-acuity cardiac ICU team in Illinois for a 6+ month inpatient assignment-manage complex post-op patients with no call and 12-hour shifts.
Highlights
- No call required
- Long-term contract potential (6+ months)
Practice Setting
- Inpatient cardiovascular ICU
- OSF Saint Francis Medical Center
- Rounding with CV ICU surgeons and nursing team
- EPIC charting
- Must be comfortable working independently
Schedule
- 20 shifts per month
- 12-hour day shifts: 6:30a-7:00p
- Ongoing coverage starting January 2025
Procedures and Cases
- Ventilator, vasopressor, and arrhythmia management
- VV/VA ECMO, IABP, Impella, VAD, post-transplant care
- Central/arterial line placement/removal, chest tubes, intubation/extubation
- Pacing wires, sternotomy site care, EVH site management
- Average census: 8+ patients/day
Requirements
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care or CV Surgery)
- ACLS, BLS, DEA certifications
- Active Illinois license
- Minimum 24 months of cardiovascular ICU experience
Credentialing and Travel
- Credentialing: 60-90 days
- Travel and lodging provided
