Description
A Pennsylvania healthcare system is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for weekend call coverage. The provider will support urgent cardiac surgery cases, manage inpatient consults, and assist with perioperative care alongside the cardiac surgery team.
This is an ongoing opportunity with three weekends per month and backup surgeon support available after consults.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour cardiothoracic surgery call coverage
- Assist with urgent cardiac surgery cases
- Manage inpatient consults and rounding
- Support cath lab to OR workflow
- Assist with perioperative patient management
- Perform vein harvesting when required
- Coordinate ICU to discharge care
- Document encounters using Epic EMR
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner certification required
- Cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
- Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain
- DEA required
- Minimum 3 years experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Acute care certification not required
Working Hours
3 weekends per month
Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
24-hour call coverage
Average callback: ~4 hours per day
