Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Required Skills:
  • Current California RN License and Nurse Practitioner certification
  • ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications
  • Minimum of 90 days experience in inpatient cardiology or similar settings
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience covering leave of absence (LOA) or temporary assignments
  • Knowledge of pediatric cardiology or other subspecialties
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited program
  • Previous experience working alongside cardiologists in inpatient or outpatient settings
  • Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular procedures (though not mandatory)

Other Requirements:
  • Valid California medical license with licensure in good standing
  • Ability to travel to support coverage as needed (support staff onsite includes cardiologist and additional clinic personnel)
  • Shift schedule: three 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:00), covering a leave of absence period
  • Start date: April 27, 2026
  • Hourly pay rate of $125.96, inclusive of travel expenses
