Locum Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology in Coos Bay, OR
Join a dedicated healthcare team at a prominent medical center serving Oregon’s South Coast. This facility offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services in a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth. We are currently seeking a Locum Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a 3-month assignment with the potential for extension.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accept full-time (80 hours per pay period)
- 4 x 10’s schedule
- Clinic hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Hospital hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Manage 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient care
- Participate in weekly rotations between hospital and clinic
- Handle 15-18 clinic patients per day
- Manage 8-15 hospital patients per day
- Work alongside 4 physicians and an assigned Medical Assistant
- Collaborate with a Triage RN team
- Support the device clinic with dedicated staff
- Provide general cardiology, invasive cardiology, and electrophysiology services
- Utilize EPIC EMR for patient management
- Minimum of 1+ year of work experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner required
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner - REQUIRED
- Oregon Nurse Practitioner license - REQUIRED
- Minimum 1+ year of work experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner - REQUIRED
- Clean background with no malpractice - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Self-Query - NPDB (to be pulled within the month at presentation) - REQUIRED
- CAQH login and password - REQUIRED AT TIME OF OFFER
- DEA - Verbal confirmation required at the time of name clear
- Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Oregon license
- Current Board Certification
- Minimum work experience as outlined above
