Cardiology Nurse Practitioner
Join our esteemed cardiology department as a vital member of our healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional adult inpatient cardiovascular care. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment, supporting post-procedure patients, conducting pre-procedure consults, and ensuring seamless follow-up care. With a focus on adult populations, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes through expert assessments and compassionate service.
What You Will Do:
- Deliver inpatient care in the cardiovascular department, managing patients post-procedure and conducting consult workups pre-procedure.
- Provide thorough follow-up phone calls to patients, ensuring continuity of care.
- Collaborate with staff across the healthcare team to support patient recovery.
- Utilize Cerner and Change Healthcare cardiology PACS EMR systems efficiently to document and coordinate care.
- Support approximately 2-10 patients daily, with a schedule of four 10-hour day shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
Required Skills:
- Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Board Certification in Nurse Practitioners.
- Current DEA and CSR licenses.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant inpatient cardiology experience.
- Strong patient assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult populations.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Cerner and Change Healthcare EMR systems.
- Prior experience in a hospital cardiology setting.
- Additional certifications related to cardiovascular care.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in an inpatient cardiology environment.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work four 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
- Credentialing process estimated to take 60-90 days.
- No additional licensing required beyond state licensure.
- Ability to maintain professional licensure and certifications as required.
