We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to support a rapidly growing outpatient cardiovascular service line in the Bronx, NY. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of outpatient cardiology experience and strong clinical expertise in managing chronic cardiovascular conditions. Job Responsibilities
• Manage chronic cardiac conditions including hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, laboratory studies)
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with cardiology physicians
• Prescribe and adjust medications per clinical guidelines
• Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence
• Accurately document encounters within the EMR
• Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging departments, and ancillary services
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to clinical protocols
Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient cardiology NP experience
• Board Certification (ANCC or AANP)
• Active DEA license (or eligibility)
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease management
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
