Locum Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology in Coos Bay, OR
Join a dedicated team at a prominent medical center serving as the Medical Center for Oregon’s South Coast. This facility offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services in a supportive and growth-oriented environment. We are currently seeking a Locum Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a 3-month assignment with the potential for extension.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accepting full-time (80 hours per pay period)
- Working 4 x 10-hour shifts
- Clinic hours from 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM
- Hospital hours from 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM
- Providing care for 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient
- Rotating weekly between hospital and clinic settings
- Treating 15-18 patients per clinic day
- Consulting with 8-15 patients per hospital day
- Collaborating with a team of 4 physicians
- Working with an assigned MA to assist with patient management
- Engaging with a Triage RN team for patient assessments
- Providing support in general and invasive cardiology, as well as electrophysiology
- Utilizing EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of work experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is required
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Oregon license (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong background record with no malpractice issues is highly preferred
- Up-to-date self-query from NPDB at the time of presentation
- CAQH login and password required at the time of offer
- DEA information required during the name clearance process
- Meets criteria for medical staff or allied health professional membership and privileges
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner - REQUIRED
- Oregon State License (or ability to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Minimum of 1+ year experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner - REQUIRED
- Clean background with no malpractice - HIGHLY PREFERRED
