Locum Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology in Coos Bay, OR

Join a dedicated team at a prominent medical center serving as the Medical Center for Oregon’s South Coast. This facility offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services in a supportive and growth-oriented environment. We are currently seeking a Locum Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a 3-month assignment with the potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accepting full-time (80 hours per pay period)
• Working 4 x 10-hour shifts
• Clinic hours from 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM
• Hospital hours from 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM
• Providing care for 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient
• Rotating weekly between hospital and clinic settings
• Treating 15-18 patients per clinic day
• Consulting with 8-15 patients per hospital day
• Collaborating with a team of 4 physicians
• Working with an assigned MA to assist with patient management
• Engaging with a Triage RN team for patient assessments
• Providing support in general and invasive cardiology, as well as electrophysiology
• Utilizing EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of work experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is required
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
• Oregon license (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong background record with no malpractice issues is highly preferred
• Up-to-date self-query from NPDB at the time of presentation
• CAQH login and password required at the time of offer
• DEA information required during the name clearance process
• Meets criteria for medical staff or allied health professional membership and privileges

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner - REQUIRED
• Oregon State License (or ability to obtain) - REQUIRED
• Minimum of 1+ year experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner - REQUIRED
• Clean background with no malpractice - HIGHLY PREFERRED
