Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology

Join a growing and dynamic cardiology service line dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered cardiovascular care. We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year of outpatient cardiology experience to support a collaborative team of cardiologists and clinical staff.

🩺 Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments (history, physical exams, risk stratification)

• Manage patients with hypertension, heart failure, CAD, arrhythmias, hyperlipidemia, and more

• Order and interpret diagnostics (EKGs, echos, stress tests, Holter monitors, labs)

• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans

• Prescribe and adjust medications per guidelines

• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and disease management

• Accurately document encounters in EMR

• Coordinate care with referring providers and ancillary services

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

✅ Required Qualifications

• Active New York Nurse Practitioner license

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient cardiology NP experience

• Board Certified (ANCC or AANP)

• Active DEA (or eligible)

• Strong cardiovascular clinical knowledge

• Excellent communication and clinical judgment skills

⭐ Preferred

• Experience in outpatient cardiology or multispecialty practices

• Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems

• Experience managing high-volume patient panels
