Job description
WellStar Medical Group is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for busy and well established heart failure clinic. Manage and coordinate the healthcare of the cardiology/heart failure patients, in the inpatient setting, at Cobb Hospital.
The Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia. The Center includes 11 hospitals and 30 office locations throughout metro Atlanta. Our 100+ physicians and 90+ APPs provide care for the entire spectrum of cardiac patients (surgery, structural heart, advanced heart failure, EP, advanced imaging, complex intervention, ECMO, and research).

Responsibilities
In this role you will collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the heart failure patient and family. Actively participate in the daily medical management of heart failure patients. Document, maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC). Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree or higher in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Georgia.

Certification as a Family, Adult-Gerontology, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or NCCPA certification for PAs.

Minimum of 2-3 years experience in cardiology, preferably with advanced heart failure or transplant experience.

Strong clinical knowledge of heart failure pathophysiology, pharmacology, and device therapies.

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage complex clinical scenarios.
