⭐ Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner – Locum Opportunity ⭐

📍 Toledo, OH

🩺 We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (Cardiothoracic Surgery) for a locum assignment supporting a busy surgical service. If you love high-acuity care and working closely with surgeons and ICU teams, this role is for you!

🏥 Facility Setting

🏨 Inpatient – Post-Op Surgical Floor & ICU (with some office/rounding responsibilities)

📅 Schedule & Coverage

🕗 Mon–Fri | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (10 days per month)
📞 Call Required | 10 days/month
📆 Includes 2 weekends per month

👥 Role Highlights

✔ Autonomous NP role with physician support available
✔ Adult & geriatric patient population
✔ Average ~12 patients/day
✔ Level I trauma environment
✔ EMR: EPIC
✔ Duties include:

✂ Suture removal
🧠 Diagnose & treat illnesses
🧪 Order & interpret tests
✍ Prescribe medications
🤝 Coordinate care & rounding
🫀 Pre-op physical exams

🎯 Requirements

📜 ANCC or AANP certification – Required
🩺 Active Ohio NP license – Required
❤️ BLS & ACLS – Required
🧠 Relevant cardiothoracic surgery training & experience – Required
✨ Clean background — Required
