Locum Cardiology Nurse Practitioner needed in Washington!

Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP or PA) to provide outpatient cardiology locum coverage in Washington. This clinic-only role focuses on follow-up care, annual cardiology visits, acute outpatient management, and inbox coverage—with no inpatient, hospital rounding, procedures, call, or weekends. The position requires strong cardiology assessment skills and the ability to work independently within a team-based setting.

Dates / Schedule

• Start: As soon as credentialed

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Duration: 6–9 months

• FTE: 1.0

• Setting: Outpatient clinic

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient cardiology care, including follow-up after procedures, annual visits, and acute cardiology visits.

• Manage inbox coverage for providers away from the office.

• No inpatient work, no hospital rounding, no procedures, no call, and no weekends.

• See approximately 16 patients per day; all patients are established or follow-up—no consults.

• Work within a collaborative clinic supported by MAs, RNs, and front office staff.

• Interpret cardiology imaging and diagnostic testing to guide ongoing management.

• Document thoroughly and communicate effectively within a team-based care model.

• Contribute to backfill coverage for an outgoing APP.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Active Washington State License — required

• DEA and NPI — required

• Outpatient cardiology experience — required (deal breaker)

• EPIC proficiency — required

• Clean malpractice history — highly preferred

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team

• Proficiency in interpreting cardiology imaging and diagnostic test results for complex patient care
