Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for an ongoing locum assignment in the Rockville area, supporting a leading healthcare system.
📅 Start Date: February , 2026
🕓 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
📑 Contract Length: Ongoing until a permanent provider is secured
💼 Position Details
- Setting: 50% Inpatient | 50% Outpatient
- Support Staff: MDs and APPs
- Patient Load:
- Inpatient: 10–13 patients/day
- Outpatient: 9–13 patients/day
- Inpatient Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 10–13 cardiology patients at Shady Grove Medical Center
- Conduct consults, subsequent visits, discharge planning, and collaborate with cardiologists and APP team members
- Outpatient Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear stress testing and follow-up visits (30 min each)
- Handle prescription refills, review diagnostic results, and communicate with patients as needed
