Nurse Practitioner (CVICU/CVIMU) - Houston, TX

Schedule: 12-Hours Night shifts; 6 pm - 6 am (Paid for 40 hours)
Job Summary:
Position responsible for providing comprehensive patient care by systematic assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, and in-hospital follow-up, affecting direct patient care through the disease process according to the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities:
- Care for cardiothoracic (CT) surgery patients post-operatively.
- Manage patients undergoing endovascular and open aortic repairs.
- Provide advanced care for CABG and valve surgery patients.
- Monitor patient recovery, hemodynamics, and post-surgical complications.
- Collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, and ICU teams for optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- AGACNP - Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Required).
- Current State of Texas license to practice professional nursing
- Experience with the w/Heart Failure Population
- Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience (RN or NP) in the area of Cardiology / Cardiac Care / Cardiovascular Nursing
